What the grid can show

The grid is a simplified rectangular projection for practicing latitude and longitude. It is not an equal-area map or a ground-distance measuring tool. Positive latitude is north; positive longitude is east.

The scale calculation gives straight-line ground distance from the entered map measurement. Real routes, access, and travel time require other information.
